Calcium and Prostate Cancer Black men should avoid calcium supplements and too much dairy A number of studies have found that higher calcium intake was associated with an increased risk of advanced prostate cancer, specifically in Black men. Black men who consumed more milk and dairy products tended to have more advanced and aggressive cancers. The study found that the link between calcium intake and prostate cancer was strongest among men with a family history of prostate cancer.
